Bio-Gas(Dry Waste Management)

  • The wastes generated from different sources on different occasions are collected and brought to waste treatment plant and then treated by applying Bio Waste Treatment technologies. In Bio Waste Treatment plant working with bio methanation technology only fast and slow decomposing bio degradable materials like fish waste, meat waste and food waste materials, waste water and slow degradable materials like vegetables and all green or wet plant parts are treated. In these conditions, 40-50% of the accumulated waste could only be treated properly. But the very slow degradable waste materials like dry leaves, coconut husk, and other types of dry plant waste, paper etc. were not treated effectively. The remaining wastes will be heaped up or dumped after classifying as untreated wastes. So in this system more area is required for collection and keeping of wastes before and after the treatment process. These accumulated wastes in due course will lead to serious problems of environmental and atmospheric pollution. The processing of these untreated wastes requires lots of investment. Presently, Aerobic Composting and Vermi Composting methods are commonly used to treat very slow degradable materials in centralized waste treatment plants. During this treatment process around 60-70% waste is being treated and balance waste is remaining as untreated. To prevent and to overcome the accumulation of non treated waste in the treatment plant, new technologies have been introduced viz. BIOCINARATOR- working with bio gas as operational fuel . This system is capable of treating very slow degradable waste materials generated daily at source. In this technology bio-mass waste materials like dry leafs, coconut husk, and other types of dry plant, waste paper etc. can be disposed through burning under controlled conditions in a concealed chamber. This process does not require any external fuel. To avoid the emission of hazardous gases in the operation of conventional type of incinerator the materials like plastic or rubber related waste materials or any other chemicals are not fed to the plant for disposal. Night Soil Bio-Gas Plant(Sewage Management)

Like any other bio waste, human excreta can be treated with the help of anaerobic microbes (bacteria). These microbes are not harmful to human beings. When human excreta is treated with the help of biomethanation process, the biogas is generated from this waste, through microbial action. This gas can be used either for cooking or for electricity generation. When a night soil plant is installed, there is no need of a separate conventional septic tank. Treated slurry coming out from the plant can be utilized as liquid fertilizer. All other easily biodegradable waste can be treated together with human excreta in the same plant.
